Born and raised in the charming waterfront town of Annapolis, Maryland, the Chesapeake Bay was Kim Hovell’s backyard. Kim’s lifelong love for art and design led her to a fine arts degree from Virginia Tech. Soon after returning to Annapolis, Kim’s artistic energy was channeled into painting the coastal lifestyle she knew and loved. 

Kim’s creativity and dedication has turned her singular style into a successful home and lifestyle brand and she continues to be a sought-after painter. In the spring of 2022 Kim opened her flagship store on Main Street in the heart of Annapolis, and her paintings, prints, and home goods can be found in hundreds of stores across the country.
